How a Fitting Works
Buying eyewear this good should feel like commissioning something, not shopping a rack. Here is how we do it.
One. The Conversation
We start with your face, your wardrobe, and your week. How you wear color. Whether you want the frame noticed or the frame quiet. What failed about your last pair. Twenty minutes here saves an hour of trying on the wrong things.
Two. The Edit
Christopher Profera and Pixie Tyburczy pull from eighteen collections and put four or five frames in front of you. Not forty. Bone structure, coloring, prescription, and how the frame sits with your hair and your glasses-off face all factor in. We will tell you honestly when something is not working.
Three. The Fit
Every frame is adjusted to your bridge, temple length, and pantoscopic tilt before it leaves. Lenses are measured to your exact pupil position. Come back anytime for adjustments. There is no charge and no appointment needed.
Fittings are by appointment, run about an hour, and are complimentary. An eye exam is not required, though we are happy to schedule one at the same visit.

Worth the Drive from Tahoe, Sacramento, and the Bay
There is no other optical in Northern Nevada carrying this range of independent European and Japanese eyewear. Which is why our appointment book fills with people who do not live in Reno.
Clients come over the hill from Incline Village, Crystal Bay, Glenbrook, Truckee, Martis Camp, and Northstar, usually pairing a fitting with a day in town. Others drive up from Sacramento and Roseville, or in from the Bay Area, because the alternative is a national chain carrying six licensed brands and a fluorescent-lit wall of the same three shapes.
Closer to home, we serve Caughlin Ranch, Montreux, Arrow Creek, Lakeridge, Somersett, and the professional community in south Reno and Sparks. We are at 3715 Lakeside Drive, minutes from downtown, with parking at the door.
If you are traveling in, tell us when you book. We will set aside the time and pull frames ahead of your visit based on what you tell us, so your appointment is spent deciding rather than searching. When your lenses are ready, we will let you know, and we can coordinate pickup around your next trip in.
